Safe space van

where to next?

Safe Space is a partnership initiative with Bradford at Night, New Vision Bradford, West Yorkshire Combined Authority and West Yorkshire Police.

The purpose of the Safe Space Initiative is to support the Bradford night-time economy by offering people a safe space to go if they need help.

Safe Space is free to access and if anyone needs support they can go along to the van.

The van will be parked on Kirkgate, near to McDonalds, from 9pm- 3am and offers: confidential clinical space, first aid, phone charging, hot drinks and water, naloxone, safe place to wait for friends or a taxi home and support and guidance around alcohol and drug use.

New vision

New Vision Bradford is a partnership between national and local charities providing drug and alcohol treatment and recovery services across the Bradford District.

The service is led by the national charity Humankind with partners Project 6The Bridge Project and Create Strength Group who have been working and supporting people across the district for many years.

New Vision Bradford aims to improve outcomes for people with issues around alcohol and drugs across the district, better meeting the needs of the area’s diverse communities.
